Dr. Drutman has been practicing psychology for more than 25 years. He graduated with his bachelor’s in psychology from Whittier College in California in 1981. He then pursued his master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology, graduating in 1985 from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Dr. Drutman had formal internships and a post doctoral fellowship at Los Angeles County’s Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center as well as The University of California, Irvine Medical Center. CSPP-Los Angeles’ program in clinical psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Drutman provides psychological services, including psychotherapy and psychological/psychoeducational testing evaluations to all ages. He also has a specialization in working with couples and their families as they go through divorce and post divorce. Dr. Drutman also provides divorce-related forensic services such as parent coordination, co-parenting counseling, collaborative divorce coaching, psychological child custody evaluations, parental fitness evaluations, alcohol and drug abuse evaluations, and expert testimony regarding divorce and the best interest of the child.
Dr. Drutman’s writings have been published in The Family Lawyer, and other professional publications. He also gives presentations several times a year to state and family bar associations, including the State Bar of Georgia, as well as to national conferences. He also frequently attends conferences and continuing education classes to remain at the forefront of relevant knowledge within the field.
Dr. Drutman’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Psychological Association, Georgia Psychological Association, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the APA Division 41, American Psychology-Law Society. He is also a founding member of the Atlanta Collaborative Divorce Alliance.
